Frog Follies hopping into St Pierre

Those who are looking for something fun to do in southeastern Manitoba this week might want to hop on down to St Pierre because the annual Frog Follies is coming to town.
St Pierre will host the annual Frog Follies this weekend with the event featuring three days of events, activities and entertainment for residents off all ages.
Frog Follies has ran every year in St Pierre since 1970 and is held annually as a way to celebrate the people and community of St Pierre, but also as a way to celebrate francophone culture in Manitoba.
This year’s Frog Follies kicked off on Thursday with a frog hunt at Maplewood Golf Course.
Friday evening will feature a chamber supper starting at 6 p.m., as well as a bike decorating contest and mainstage entertainment including the Frog Follies opening ceremonies, a performance by the Nic Messner band, and a cake eating contest.
Fireworks are set to explode on Friday evening starting around 10:30 p.m.
The activities run all day Saturday starting with a pancake breakfast set to kick off at 9 a.m.
Saturday will also feature a slo-pitch tournament, parade, children and adult frog jumping contests, a skateboard demonstration and entertainment on the mainstage running from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The event will wrap up with the Frog Follies After Party set to take place Saturday evening starting at 9:30 p.m. at Lucky Luc’s Bar and Grill.
