Local emergency crews and STARS were dispatched to a train-vehicle collision east of Dugald Tuesday morning, but STARS was eventually called off.
Garth Cook of the RM of Springfield fire department told The Carillon the sustained injuries didn’t warrant a STARS trip into Winnipeg.
Cook didn’t have more details, nor did RCMP, which informed The Carillon the incident was in the jurisdiction of CN police.
CN police declined to comment as the matter is under investigation, a spokesperson said.
