Shoplifters arrested after Superstore theft

Three Winnipeg residents were arrested and charged with Theft under $5,000 after an early evening shoplifting spree at Superstore in Steinbach.
RCMP said they were called to the store at 8:17 p.m. on Dec. 21 after being advised of a suspicious female within the store.
Police learned a 45-year-old female had filled two grocery carts with groceries and had not paid for them.

“Subsequently, the officers located her vehicle outside the store,” they said in a press release. “Groceries were observed in the back seat, and a check of the trunk revealed numerous stolen times.
Police also arrested the 38-year-old male driver and remanded him into custody related to warrants for his arrest from Winnipeg Police. He was on court imposed conditions not to attend any Superstore.
A third female accomplice, a 40-year-old female was also arrested.
