Residents in the RM of Tache will likely see a bump in their recycling service fee next year.

Council passed first reading of a special service levy which will see the cost of recycling services per household raise by $4 to offset the cost of fuel.

CAO Christine Hutlet said the bylaw will go to the province for final approval before implementing the levy next year.

The last levy increase came in 2019 which saw the fee per household jump from $32 to $72. The RM contracts recycling services to Pak-Man Disposals.

If approved by the province, the fee will be in place until the end of 2024.
