More than a month after 70-year-old Ywanna (Jean) Backman went missing, Sprague RCMP are continuing to look for answers, issuing a press release to remind the public of their search.

Police say it is believed that she was last in contact with a friend on Oct. 15.

“Since that time a number of RCMP units along with volunteers, community members and others, have been assisting in the search,” they said. “An extensive ground search was conducted near her residence, but Jean was not located.”
