A long-time music festival tradition is back for another year as organizers prepare for the AC (Angel’s Cabin) Music Festival on June 1.
Joe Blair said gates open at 1 p.m. for the popular festival at Gardenton Park with music beginning at 2 p.m. and running until midnight.
Classic rock, classic country, folk and some original pieces will be played throughout the event which also includes beer gardens, a canteen and a perogy and sausage dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Blair said Manitoba musicians will take to the stage and though not all their names are familiar, they play at a high level.
“You might not recognize the bands, but you will definitely recognize the music,” he said.
The annual event is held as a kick-off to summer, but at a time when most people have not yet embarked on holidays.
Blair said communities come together in Gardenton for the event, which routinely draw audiences from beyond the borders of the local municipality, as far as Winnipeg and across the border.
Tickets cost $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. To book advance tickets call Rachel at 204-427-2256.
