Steinbach firefighters used extrication equipment to remove the door of a car and free the driver after a crash at the corner of Main Street and Kroeker Avenue early in the afternoon on June 4. RCMP said the 34-year-old Winnipeg driver of the car was westbound on Main Street when a truck driven by a 26-year-old man from Steinbach tried to cross while northbound on Kroeker, striking the care. The woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured. RCMP said the investigation is ongoing.
