Have you always wanted to try out an ATV but aren’t sure if you’ll like it enough to justify the investment?
Are you looking for a relaxed experience seeing nature from some of the best trails in the province?
If you answered yes to either of those questions than a brand-new business called Woodridge Quad Adventures could be for you.

Started by Steve and Susan Hutchinson, the couple had only lived in Woodridge for a few weeks before the idea first came up.
Once Steve got a taste for the trails on his own quad, it was clear to him that there are many others that would love the opportunity.
Hence the creation of Woodridge Quad Adventures, featuring guided quad trail tours in Woodridge.
“Nobody out here does it,” Steve said of the guided tours. “Everyone out here has their own ATVs so we’re targeting the cities like Steinbach and Winnipeg to get people that don’t have quads or don’t have a way to go quading.”
For those just trying out the hobby, it’s an opportunity to come out where everything is supplied.
Helmets and quads are ready for use and participants follow a guide while another brings up the rear.
“You’re in the bush, you’re with nature,” Steve said. “You’ll see deer run across the trail, you’ll see other wildlife and you get to go everywhere.”
With hundreds of kilometres of the best trails in Manitoba at their backdoor, Steve said this is the perfect opportunity for people to try it out.
Right now, the business has four quads for riders, ranging from 450cc to 700 cc. Those quads are governed to 25 km/h to ensure safety on the trails.
One quad also includes a second seat for a second rider.
The Hutchinsons say they hope to double the number of quads and are looking to partner with others such as local lodges and the campground in offering package deals that would include a meal.
It’s also a good opportunity for corporate clients to take part in team building.
Steve said they’ve also reached out to the Sandhogs, the local ATV group that maintains the trails, and were told they had their support.
Having lived in Woodridge for less than six months, both Susan and Steve say they immediately felt at home. Both have gotten involved locally with Steve also joining the fire department.
