I feel compelled to applaud and thank those four MLAs who had the courage to speak up for their constituents and on their behalf, rather than giving into the peer pressure of the other legislators. They are definitely a minority. I was under the impression that minorities receive more consideration, but I guess not in this case.

Maybe we should be more aware of the meaning of democracy. When a government takes authority away from parents and gives that authority to agencies under and controlled by the government we are treading on dangerous ground. It sounds very much like a communistic, socialistic ideology philosophy and concept. But the fact that I am able to write this letter, my hope is that we will not go down this slippery slope.
