Another player who played junior hockey in the Southeast is moving on to play in the NCAA.

Brendan Bottem joined the Niverville Nighthawks for their inaugural season after finishing up his high school career at Thief River Falls High School. Next season he’ll be playing at Marian University.

The American put together an outstanding season in Niverville, notching over 20 goals and 51 points in 57 games. He joined the Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League to start the 2023/2024 season, before returning to Niverville.

Across 106 games in Manitoba, he scored 87 points, adding on two playoff goals this season for Niverville.

The Marian University Sabres play in division three of the NCAA. The team is based out of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
