The application deadline has passed for the Manitoba PC leadership race and two candidates have put their names forward for consideration.

Fort Whyte MLA Obby Kahn and businessman Wally Daudrich have submitted their names for leadership. Khan completed his application on Oct. 2 and the leadership election committee had completed its review and conducted an interview. It has approved him to run.

Daudrich submitted his application on Oct. 14 and the LEC has begun its review of his application and will provide an update once the review and an interview are completed.

Approved candidates will sit down with former Radisson PC MLA James Teitsma on Oct. 30 during a public event where they will present their vision for the party and answer questions from the public.

The election for a new leader will occur in April 2025.
