Parkhill school will open its doors in September 2025 and with it the school catchment area has been set.
Parkhill school catchment area will run from Brandt Street to Bristol Road and from Highway 52 West to Hanover Road West.
The two-storey school spans 62,304 sq.-ft. and will accommodate up to 500 kindergarten to Grade 4 students. The modern facility includes 19 classrooms, a library, a music room, an art room, a multi-purpose room, a life-skills suite, and various support spaces. The school will also include a child-care facility with 74 spaces.

Because Parkhill has established its catchment area, new boundaries have been set for Elmdale, Woodlawn, and Southwood.
“The catchment areas are being updated to create a designated catchment area for the new Parkhill School, opening in September 2025. With the addition of this new catchment, adjustments are necessary to ensure balanced enrollment across all Steinbach early years schools,” stated the Hanover School Division website.
Because of the changes, some students might be required to change schools because of the new boundaries even if they are not going to Parkhill school. Students who will attend another school would have received a letter on Oct. 11. Those that haven’t received a letter should email steinbachcatchments@hsd.ca.
For middle schools there is no change in catchment. Parkhill School and Southwood School will feed into Stonybrook Middle School, while Elmdale School and Woodlawn School will feed into Clearspring Middle School.
Transportation to Parkhill will be provided depending on the distance of the student’s home to the school. The walk zone has not yet been established for Parkhill. Walk zones for Elmdale School, Southwood School, and Woodlawn School will not change.
Parkhill is one of four elementary schools in the Hanover School Division the other three being Southwood, Woodlawn, and Elmdale.
