Reynolds fire department responds to iPhone notification

Reynolds fire department and RCMP responded to an iPhone notification that there was a crash on Oct. 9 at 9:55 a.m. one kilometre east of PR 506 on the TransCanada Highway.

Dispatch confirmed that it was a one vehicle rollover and when arriving on the scene a dog from the vehicle was seen running loose on the highway. RCMP Cpl. Joanne Franklin and Manny Damata from Falcon Beach Auto and Towing were able to coax the frightened pet to the RCMP vehicle.

Falcon EMS transported one person to hospital.

Reynolds fire department stated on Facebook that after responding to many false alarms from iPhone crash notifications, this one turned out to be real and had first responders arriving on the scene as soon as possible.
