RCMP seize drugs and cash in Steinbach raid

A mid-morning raid on a home in Steinbach resulted in seizures of drugs, unstamped cigarettes and cash leading to the arrest of a 51-year-old woman.
Police say at 10:25 a.m. on Oct. 17, they executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on 4th Street in Steinbach, assisted by the East District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team.
Police seized 353 grams of cocaine, 700 grams of illicit cannabis, 343 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms), 168 Gabapentin pills (an anticonvulsant medication used to treat and prevent seizures), 192 Tylenol 3s, 30 amphetamine pills and more than 15,000 unstamped cigarettes. An undisclosed amount of Canadian currency was also seized.
Police arrested 51-year-old Tina Perrier on the scene, charging her with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possessing Cannabis for the purpose of selling, possession of illicit Cannabis and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
She has been remanded into custody.
