The sounds of Last Post followed by two minutes of silence will spread across Southeast Remembrance Ceremonies Monday.

Steinbach

The city’s Remembrance Day ceremony begins at 10:45 a.m. at the Pat Porter Active Living Centre. The public is asked to arrive at 10:30.

The service will include the Stoneybrook Royal Canadian Air Cadet squadron and Girl Guides and representatives of all three levels of government.

Following the service there will be a wreath placed at the cenotaph. People are welcome to place a poppy there as well.

Niverville

The Nov. 11 ceremony moves inside this year with the service starting at 10 a.m. at the Niverville Heritage Centre. There will be a light lunch served afterwards.

Niverville Fire & Emergency Services will host their annual Perogy Dinner Fundraiser on Nov. 11 at the Golden Friendship Centre from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Donations over $20 receive a tax receipt from the Town of Niverville and will go towards the new firehall.

St Pierre

The Village organized a ceremony starting at 10:45 a.m. in the recreational centre at 545 Hébert Avenue that features videos, buglers, prayers, testimonies, songs and more.

Wreaths are then laid at the cenotaph.

Support comes from neighbouring R.M. of De Salaberry the Community Engagement Partnership Fund of Veterans Affairs Canada.

Ste Anne

Doors open 9:45 a.m. for the public ceremony held at Ste Anne Catholic Church. The national anthem in both official languages will be sung at 10:17 a.m.

After the laying of wreaths and two minutes of silence at 11 a.m., a mass in honour of the lost soldiers will be held for those who wish to take part.

Lorette

The public ceremony at College Lorette Collegiate, 1082 Dawson Road, starts at 10:30 a.m.

There will be coffee, hot chocolate and dainties after the service.

St Adolphe

The RM of Ritchot hosts the ceremony beginning at 10:45 a.m. at the cenotaph at 352 Main Street.

Refreshments will follow in the RM building.

Sprague

Ross L. Gray School in Sprague invites the public to its Remembrance Day ceremony on Nov. 7 at 2 p.m.

There will be class presentations followed by laying of wreaths at the Sprague Museum Memorial site.

Morris

The Morris Legion Branch #111 is hosting the annual Remembrance Day service on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Morris Multiplex.

There will be a luncheon provided after the service.

Whitemouth

A ceremony at Whitemouth Hall starts at 10:30 a.m.

It is sponsored by the Whitemouth Municipal Museum Society, Recreation Association, and Lions Club.
