“Past Meets Present: A Celebration of Creativity” invites you to a remarkable exhibition bridging Steinbach’s educational heritage with artistic expression. Opening Nov. 22 at the Steinbach Cultural Arts Centre, this unique showcase features artwork from students of the historic Kornelsen School. The exhibition runs until Jan. 3, with an opening reception on Nov. 22 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A toonie admission is encouraged. We extend a special invitation to all Kornelsen School alumni to reconnect with former classmates and witness how your alma mater’s creative legacy continues to thrive. Annual Christmas Art Sale is back at SAC!
The Steinbach Arts Council presents its annual Christmas Art Sale at the Cultural Arts Centre’s Hall Gallery from Nov. 18 to Dec. 20. The sale features discounted artwork from the Buy or Lease Program and gift shop items, offering unique holiday gift options while supporting local artists.
Visitors will find a selection of magnets, cards, keychains, coasters, jewelry, and original artwork up to 50 percent off select pieces. The initiative ensures artists receive commissions from all sales. Gift certificates are available for artwork, classes, concerts, or workshops.

Call for artists in the 2025 Southeast Open Judged Exhibit
The Steinbach Arts Council announces the opening of applications for the 2025 Southeast Open Judged Exhibit (SOJE), inviting artists from across the region to showcase their talent. With submissions being accepted starting on Nov. 14, until Jan. 24, artists have ample time to prepare their best work for this prestigious event, scheduled to run from Feb. 28 to March 28.
SOJE welcomes artists of all levels, from seasoned professionals to emerging talents, residing in the Southeast region. Adult and young artists, and educators can find full application details at steinbacharts.ca/soje.

Steinbach Arts Council organizes Corks & Canvas Wine Tasting Fundraiser
The Steinbach Arts Council is organizing another Corks & Canvas Wine Tasting Fundraiser this year in November. This exciting event promises an evening filled with exquisite wines, delicious appetizers, and local artwork to help support SAC’s community programs.
With over 40 percent of its income derived from donations and fundraisers, community support helps sustain a healthy environment for recreation in our region. This year, every dollar donated during the event will be matched up to $3,500, thanks to the generosity of Sarah and Andy Beaver. This event is sponsored by Chez Koop, OnPoint, Country Meat & Deli, the Remax Keith Unger Team, and Craft Financial Group. Most-Anticipated holiday event with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra returns
Experience the magic of the season as the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra returns to Steinbach with their beloved Holiday Tour at Crossview Church on Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. This annual tradition features favourite symphonic holiday classics, with special performances by local choir Accent Singers, and a special guest narrator. Tickets are selling fast with seats priced at $30 for adults and $15 for students. Avoid disappointment and get your family’s tickets before they’re sold out!
