Construction has begun on the 95-bed personal care home in Lac du Bonnet.

“Seniors in Lac du Bonnet have been waiting far too long for a personal care home that will help them stay in their community, close to their family and support system. Today, we’re telling them our commitment is real. We’ve got shovels in the ground,” said Seniors and Long-Term Care Minister Uzoma Asagwara.

The facility will serve Lac du Bonnet and the surrounding communities, fulfilling one step in the government’s commitment to build more long-term care facilities throughout the province, noted the minister.
