Steinbach man charged after Onanole foot chase

A 25-year-old Steinbach man is facing multiple charges after running from police.
Brendan Neufeld is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and resisting arrest, in addition to being wanted an on outstanding warrant out of Winnipeg.
He was the passenger in a vehicle reported stolen out of Winnipeg by police in Neepawa in a Jan. 20 incident.
Police responded to Neepawa, but the vehicle had left, heading towards Onanole.
Dauphin, Neepawa and Wasagaming RCMP along with Manitoba RCMP Police Dog Services located the vehicle in Onanole with two male occupants.
The driver was arrested without incident, but the passenger fled.
Police dog Marook tracked the suspect over what police say with a short distance, and he was placed under arrest.
The driver was Christian Morin, 28, of Saskatoon. He is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
