The Mennonite Heritage Village hosted the Manitoba Mennonite Historical Society’s EastMenn historical committee, which studies the Mennonite east reserve, annual general meeting. The meeting focused on Kanadier Mennonite material culture from the 1870s in rural Manitoba with it’s “The Objects We Hold Dear” event. Residents were encouraged to bring artifacts from their homes to the event to discuss their meaning and relevance to the lives of Mennonites at the time. Afterwards visitors were treated with a tour of the museum’s vaults.
