Victim ejected from vehicle in fatal crash

Emerson RCMP say a 47-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a single vehicle accident after she had been ejected from the vehicle.

On March 22 police responded to the scene on Provincial Road 201 near Sundown Road at 10:50 a.m.

Describing it as a single-vehicle rollover, police say the vehicle collided with some trees and rolled.

“Investigators believe the vehicle was travelling westbound on Provincial Road 201 at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and rolled,” they said in a Monday press release. “The collision is believed to have occurred in the early morning hours of March 22.
