The Southeast Event Centre is looking for volunteers to join its SEC Legacy Volunteer Team.

“I have been so impressed with the commitment and excitement that has already been shown by our Legacy Volunteer Team. And they’re having fun. I can see them making memories and connections already. Now we just need more people to join us so that we can share the blessing of giving back to the community,” said events and operations manager Jolene Kornelsen.

SEC needs ushers, ticket scanners, parking crew, and greeters. Shifts vary from three to six hours depending on the event.

By volunteering, participants will gain valuable experience that makes a difference in the community, build lasting friendships, and gain a sense of purpose and belonging.

Some incentives to volunteering include 50 percent off food while on your shift, free coffee and snacks in the lunchroom, and potential for access to event tickets for family and friends while you volunteer.
