Man chops down stop sign, arrested while on tractor

A man who allegedly cut down a rural stop sign with an axe was arrested by RCMP while on his tractor in a nearby field.
Police say the incident occurred on Saturday night at 11:41 p.m. on Road 36 E, after someone noticed a stop sign down and noticed it had been cut down.
They called RCMP who went to the scene and observed evidence that led them to a nearby field where a male was operating a farm tractor.
The 33-year-old male was arrested and faces charges of operation while impaired, operation while over .08, mischief under $5,000 and resisting / obstructing a peace officer.
