Council receives nearly $50,000 for trees at Southeast Event Centre

The city of Steinbach will be planting trees at the Southeast Event Centre (SEC) after council received $46,170 in funding from the Green Municipal Fund.
The trees will primarily be in the east parking lot, which will be done construction this week.
The Green Municipal Fund is federally funded.
City manager Troy Warkentin said tree planting timelines will be finalized when funding agreements are done which can take several weeks.
