The Steinbach Arts Council will conduct its Annual General Meeting for 2025 on Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Steinbach Cultural Arts Centre, SCU Studio, located at 304 Second St.

BTC MUSICAL THEATRE ANNOUNCES NEW SEASON

BTC Musical Theatre, sponsored by Nature’s Farm Food Shed, is proud to announce its new musical theatre classes for ages 6 to 16, These weekly sessions offer a comprehensive blend of acting, singing, and dancing, alongside hands-on experience in stagecraft, prop building, lighting, costumes, and makeup. This program is designed to cultivate confidence, creativity, and essential performance skills, providing a nurturing and supportive environment for all young participants. It’s an opportunity for local youth to connect, express themselves, and contribute our community.

Classes are scheduled for Wednesdays, running from Sept. 10, 2025, to April 21, 2026. The 6-9 age group will meet from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and the 10-16 age group from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. No auditions required.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM REGISTRATION AT THE STEINBACH ARTS COUNCIL CONTINUES

Registration for the Arts4Tots Preschool Program is now open for the 2025-2026 year, offering a unique and engaging educational experience for children ages 3 to 5. This innovative program combines music, theatre, visual arts, culinary arts and dance to foster creativity, imagination, and cognitive development. Led by experienced directors and clinicians with a Montessori-inspired curriculum, this program emphasizes sensory, cultural, and creative learning. Arts4Tots provides a well-rounded educational experience to introduce your tots to a school setting!

The program runs from September 15, 2025, to June 4, 2026, with half-day sessions twice a week featuring an option of mornings or afternoons. Registration can be completed over the phone by calling 204.346.1077 or in-person at 304 Second St.

STEINBACH ARTS COUNCIL RELEASES 2025-2026 CONCERT SERIES DETAILS

SAC proudly announces its 2025–2026 Concert Series, featuring five captivating music and theatre performances. Showcasing top Canadian talent, the series promises to entertain and inspire audiences of all ages in Steinbach.

The season includes:

Ian Sherwood: Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m., SRSS Theatre. Kicking off the series, this Canadian Folk Music Award winner brings his east coast charm, storytelling, and genre-blurring folk-pop. Sponsored by Herbsigwil Farms

Prairie Sons: Sunday, November 2, at 7:30 p.m. Featuring cellist David Liam Roberts and pianist Godwin Friesen, this duo, named to CBC’s “Hot 30 Classical Musicians Under 30,” delivers electrifying classical performances.

Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra Holiday Tour: Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m., Crossview Church. Ring in the holidays with this beloved family-friendly tradition, featuring special guests Erin Propp & Larry Roy. Sponsored by Three Way Builders.

Proximus 5: Friday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m., Grace Church. This acclaimed male a cappella group from Winnipeg will stun with impeccable harmonies, spanning ancient choral to contemporary pop, including a collaboration with the SRSS Chamber Choir.

Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad: Sunday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m., SRSS Theatre. Rounding out the season, the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre’s Regional Tour presents this hilarious and heartfelt play about finding love in a minor hockey rink.
