The Eastman Wildcats AAA program continues to rack up the hardware.
The program’s U19 team finished seventh at the softball national championships in Calgary, racking up a 4-3 record in pool play and advancing to the playoffs.
More than a dozen teams from across Canada made the trip, with the Selects the only team from Mantioba to participate.
The Wildcats dropped a 15-4 decision in the knockout rounds to the Cloverdale Fury.
Kaylie Tétrault, who normally suits up for the U17 team, made the trip to Alberta as a pick-up player, and made the most of her time. She earned an all-star nod as the tournament’s top utility player.
The Edmonton River City Hornets defeated the Fraser Valley Fusion 9-2 to win the championship.
