Jamie Roy, Steinbach’s director of sales and marketing said the team looks to balance cultural, community and fun when putting together their schedule of special events.

“We’re trying to create memorable experiences for our fans and our community, that’s our goal,” Roy said.

“It’s building off what we started last year. Making the returning theme nights more fun and then how do we execute on some of these new ones and reach different groups of people in hopes they join us for a really fun season.”

Also new on the schedule is a Francophone heritage night, right before Festival du Voyageur.

The Pistons have launched a new season ticket campaign, ‘Be a part of it,” in an attempt to build on last season’s success at the Southeast Event Centre. Steinbach were the second-most attended junior A hockey team across Canada, averaging more than 1,800 fans per game, and are hoping to increase that to 2,000 this season.

“It’s about being there for the opening faceoff, the big goals, the playoff push, and every unforgettable moment in between,” a Pistons news release reads.

“It’s about joining the sea of blue that has become one of the most passionate fan bases in Junior A hockey and helping create the home-ice advantage that fuels the Pistons every game. Most importantly, it’s about bringing Southeast Manitoba together under one roof in pursuit of another successful Pistons season.”

Season tickets start at $13/game.
