Two robbery suspects, one from Winnipeg and the other from Selkirk, were arrested on Monday night in Steinbach after police were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery at 7 p.m. on Main Street.

Steinbach RCMP said in a release on Tuesday afternoon that the masked suspects, armed with a knife, threatened to stab an adult male if he did not give them his cell phone and money.

The suspects left the scene in a vehicle determined to have been stolen from Selkirk.

About 30 minutes later, police located the suspects in the parking lot of an apartment not far from the scene of the robbery. They were arrested without incident.

Colton Parkes, 21, of Winnipeg faces 12 charges including robbery, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of weapons and uttering threats.

Candice Irene Smith, 33, of Selkirk faces robbery charges and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
